Research Comments:The liner notes say “Album conceived and arranged for by: DON SCHLITTEN, Produced by: CHRIS ALBERTSON” Chris Albertson: “One day Weinstock called me. And he said he needed someone to produce a flamenco album that afternoon. So I said, ‘I don’t know anything about flamenco.’ And he says, ‘Well, just go there.’ It was at Rudy’s. They brought their own floor with them. And I think it was a Jewish Flamenco group from Brooklyn – Los Morenos.” Don Schlitten: “It was one of my early things. As a matter of fact, the flamenco group was an offshoot of my brother-in-law, who was friendly with the lead guitar player. And he introduced me to him, and you know, I loved flamenco music, and it was something that the folk catalog didn’t have anything remotely like. So I suggested it, and Weinstock’s only question was, ‘How much?’ And it was in the price range, so he said, ‘Go do it.’”
