Research Comments:	Preceding “A Long Drink Of The Blues” the musicians engage in about two minutes of what sounds like good-natured bantering. But Jackie McLean told me, “… those were real fights, though – that wasn’t any playing around. I mean, I was having a real strong discussion with Paul about the introduction to the piece. And Rudy just took all that stuff down on tape.”
