Research Comments: | Same date as Elmo Hope Prestige session. This album included tracks by Marian McPartland (recorded by Rudy at the Hickory House, New York City, 10/8/53) and Barbara Carroll (recorded in Los Angeles, 2/15/50). Adelaide Robbins recalls being very nervous at this session because she was told (erroneously) that Art Tatum had recorded in Hackensack. |
Status Notes: | This session took place on the same date as another Rudy Van Gelder session. |
