Research Comments:	Hank Jones was particularly fond of the piano in Hackensack, a 5’ 7” Steinway M: “I think that piano, if I had used some numbers – which might sound like an exaggeration – but I think this piano is probably one in a hundred thousand … It had everything that a piano should have and more. It was an exceptional piano, that’s all I can tell you. And I’ve played on a thousand different pianos. Maybe not that many, but certainly enough to be able to make a distinction between that one and all the others. It was in a class by itself.”
