Research Comments:	Cannonball Adderley had recorded with Kenny Clarke at Beltone Studios in New York on June 28 (Bohemia After Dark, Savoy MG-12017), but this was his first recording session as a leader. The original cover of this album shows the band grouped in front of the soon-to-be famous Van Gelder venetian blinds and drapes.
