Research Comments: | This session took place the day before the infamous Miles Davis / Thelonious Monk Christmas Eve session. John Lewis was dissatisfied with this version of “I’ll Remember April,” so the version of this tune included on the MJQ’s later album, Concorde, was recorded at a separate session at Nola’s Studio in New York City.
